Basic Rock Outfit - "thank you for the pain"
Rarely is a band name so bluntly accurate as it is in the case of Basic Rock Outfit. The 12 songs on "thank you for the pain", sound like radio ready rock songs that lie somewhere within the realm of Three Doors Down meets Hoobastank meets Matchbox Twenty, with some other crossover alt-rock bands mixed in. There in lies the problem with this album to me, the songs are catchy and good at what they are trying to do, but I'm not sure if their sound is going to make it easy to differentiate them from the other bands that they sound like.
