Notes From The Den 1-25-10
Hey Den-ziens, A real quick update this week, as I am busy working on the benefit album and concert for Shayne Miel from the Future Kings Of Nowhere (www.thefuturekings.com), who is currently fighting stage IV lymphoma (cancer). Both are coming along extremely well, and I’ll have an announcement soon about some of the artists involved. We hope to have the album available for sale on-line in early March, and the acoustic benefit concert will be Saturday March 27th at Buddie’s Tavern. Any musicians who want to still be involved, drop me a line ASAP. ~~~ Thanks to everyone who came out to the first BlowUpRadio.com Free Concert Series show at Buddie’s Tavern of 2010. The U.S. Justice Department has allowed Ticketmaster Entertainment and the world's largest concert promoter, Live Nation, to merge, proving regardless of who is in office, there is only liberty and justice for big corporations. Live Nation, Ticketmaster merge; agree to U.S. terms http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE60O4E520100126 Music Industry Reacts to U.S. Approval of Live Nation-Ticketmaster Merger http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2010/01/25/music-industry-reacts-to-u-s-approval-of-live-nation-ticketmaster-merger/ And Eagles manager Irving Azoff is an idiot if he really thinks this merger is, "a great win for fans." There is nothing in either company’s past that has been good for the fans. ------------------------------ That's all for this week. Thanks for reading. Peace, Lazlo www.LazlosDen.com |
