J.J. Appleton - "black & white matinee" One minute into the opening track of J.J. Appleton's new CD, "black & white matinee", chills went up and down my spine. The wonderful Lennon-esque song , "today today today", reminded me once again how music can change anyone's mood in a heartbeat. I'd love to see the Obama campaign use this song for their campaign. The rest of the six song EP moves between roots-rock ballads reminiscent of Will Hoge, and more Lennon-esque singer-songwriter pop.
