James Dalton - "butterflies and passerbys"

James Dalton (previously know as Jpat), has released a really great laid-back folk album in, "butterflies and passerbys". The best thing about this album is that Dalton, who generally plays out solo, didn't feel the need to supplement his normal vocals, mandolin, guitar, and harmonica playing, with other instrumentation. So what you get is a combination of skilled storytelling, masterful playing, and relaxed vocals, that have the intimacy of being played around a campfire, or in a small after-hours late-night show. The nine songs on this album have a warm, soothing feel, perfect for relaxing with after a long day, or easing your way into a lazy sort of day.
