Chow Nasty - "ungawa...the party starts right f**king now"
Chow Nasty describe their music on their My Space page as being, "Soul / Funk / Rock", which isn't wrong but it isn't quite right either. What Chow Nasty does is blend soul, funk, rock, garage-punk, electric-blues harmonica, and a pop party vibe together into music that makes you want to have fun. The lyrics seem almost incidental to their music, just there as something to sing along to, and that's fine, because the music is the real entertainment here. My only complaint about this album is the first 5 tracks are different versions of the song "ungawa", making this is an album that I am unlikely to listen to from beginning to end over and over a again. I wish they had put 4 versions of "ungawa" at the end of the CD (maybe as bonus tracks), so that I could hear the other 4 tunes on this album without having to hear "ungawa" (which is a catchy song) over and over again.
