Hey Everyone,

My old computer crapped out on August 7th. I think I managed to restore all the e-mails that had been on my old computer, but if you were waiting for a reply from me and have not received one, please re-send the e-mail.

This Saturday night BlowUpRadio.com's Free Concert Series returns to Buddie's Tavern (277 Johnsons Ln., Parlin (Sayreville), NJ). This month brings us two great singer-sonwriters and one cool band. We kick off the night with former Commons frontman, Keith Monacchio (whose new solo album, "the long evening", is a wonderful album). Up second is jersey Beat guru, Jim Testa, fresh off recording BlowUpRadio.com's theme song, "Blow Up Your Radio", and another new song that you can download for free at www.BlowUpRadio.com & www.LazlosDen.com, "Positively First Street (Hoboken)". Closing out the night is the Crosstown Country Allstars...can you guess what type of music they do?

As always, the show is free, Buddie's Tavern has ample parking, great food, and plenty of beverages of all varieties. So mark this Saturday on your calendar and come on down!

~~~
And while you're marking things on your calendar, here are some other dates to save:
October 16th - 18th: 3rd annual Banding Together benefit webathon for the Spondylitis Association of America (next week I will announce a very special gift for those who donate)
Saturday November 13th: BlowUpRadio.com's 10th Anniversary Bash @ Buddie's Tavern (the first of many special shows we plan to do to celebrate supporting the local music scene for the last 10 years)
PISSED OFF!
It's frustrating that people confuse terrorists with a religion.
Yes, 9/11 was the result of some insane people who bastardized their religion to support their hate filled cause.
They were not true Muslims, any more than those who use Christianity to kill abortion doctors and gay people are true Christians.
This country was built on religious freedom, we are also called a melting pot. Instead of a misguided attempt to stop an Islamic center, why don't we all try harder to understand one another.
I am agnostic, but I have friends of numerous different religions, and my friends and I have sat down at various times and had intelligent discussions understanding each other’s religious (or non-religious) views. I don't push my views onto them, they don't push their views onto me. We just sit and try to understand one another's views.
I think if we all sat down and did that, the world would be a better place.
That's all for this week folks.
Peace,
Lazlo
