Rock the LUP Benefit-Saturday April 14th, 2012 RockN’ Joes in Point Pleasant Beach

“Rock the LUP” was created in November 2010 by local Singer/Songwriter and JAM Award Nominee Catherine Wacha. Catherine started “Rock the LUP” because she was diagnosed with lupus in 2001 and wanted to help raise money for research and awareness of the disease. The “Rock the LUP” benefit will be held on Saturday April 14th at RockN’Joes Coffee House located at 1805 Ocean Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach. RockN Joes will be donating 20% of all of the purchases during the event to “Rock the LUP”.

Past performers of “Rock the LUP” include George Wirth, Cara Salimando, Keith Monacchio, Beannacht, Michael Brett, Sheli Aarden-Monacchio, Jon Caspi, Emily Grove, Carol Barbieri, Michael Brett and more! April 14th’s kick-off of “Rock the LUP” features Don Lee, The Monacchios, Bobby Strange, Michael Brett, we are., Emily Grove, Jim Mill, David Wrong, George Wirth, Jenny Woods, Jeff Rupert and Catherine Wacha.

Each year, Catherine asks artists to donate a track and puts together a compilation CD to sell at the event for $10. (All proceeds go to “Rock the LUP”). This year’s CD Compilation includes unreleased tracks including “I’m Just a Rainbow” by Keith Monacchio, “The Old Oak Tree” by Catherine Wacha, Monster by Jim Mill, Who’s Puppet? (Live at the Saint) by we are. and “Golden Beam” by David Wrong.

Other artists on this year’s CD ar#e Jim Crawford, Beannacht, Sheli Aarden-Monacchio, Don Lee, Mikey B. and Michael Brett.

There is a $5.00 suggested donation at the door and the show goes from 1:00-9:00pm.
